Lindsay Hyde

Lindsay graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2004 from Harvard University with a joint degree in Sociology and Women's Studies. While an undergraduate, Lindsay worked extensively with members of the Boston community through her involvement in the Phillips Brooks House Association (PBHA). In June 2007 Lindsay's leadership was recognized with a Jefferson Award for the Greatest Public Service by an Individual 35-years or Younger. As President, Lindsay leads the vision of Strong Women, Strong Girls and build the program's capacity to meet the needs of girls across the country.
Meghan Trombly

Meghan works to ensure that SWSG programming is consistent across Strong Women, Strong Girls. Meghan spearheads all programmatic initiatives. Under Meghan's guidance, the Strong Women, Strong Girls curriculum, volunteer development, and trainings are all rooted in the most current research and programmatic best practices. Meghan graduated with honors from Providence College with a degree in American Studies and a minor in Women's Studies. After graduation, Meghan spent two years as an AmeriCorps volunteer with City Year, after which she completed her degree in International Sustainable Development at Brandeis University.

Lydia Bradley

As Strong Woman Strong Girls' Program Manager, Lydia Bradley works closely with all SWSG partners to provide appropriate trainings, develop curriculum, and provide on-going support to volunteers and chapter leaders. Prior to joining SWSG, Lydia worked in the marketing department at O'Neill and Associates. Lydia is also a founding member of One Home Many Hopes, a Boston based nonprofit which raises funds and awareness for a loving home for orphaned girls in Mtwapa, Kenya.
Lydia graduated summa cum laude from the honors program at Emerson College with a degree in political communications, with minors in history and sociology. Her thesis analyzed the implications of race and gender in the 2006 Massachusetts gubernatorial race. Lydia is a graduate of the International Scholar Laureate Program: Delegation on Diplomacy & International Relations in China, as well as the School for International Training Program: International Studies, Organizations, and Social Justice in Geneva, Switzerland.

Michelle Harrington

As the Boston Executive Director, Michelle builds community support and leads partnership efforts to ensure that SWSG is meeting the needs of girls in the Greater Boston. Michelle has worked in the non-profit sector since 1988 and prior to joining SWSG served as the Development Director for Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, Inc. She also served as Director of Development at Gate of Heaven and St. Brigid Parishes where she ran two capital campaigns raising $3.1 million and $1 million respectively, and has worked for Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts as the Development Director where she increased annual giving by 245%. She is a member of the speakers bureau at History Boston, Inc. Michelle received a majored in History at the University of Massachusetts.
Emily Cohen

Emily Cohen began her time with Strong Women, Strong Girls in August 2007 as an Americorps Massachusetts Promise Fellow. Since ending her service year, she has stayed on at Strong Women, Strong Girls in various capacities, including programming and development. Now, Emily serves as the Boston Program Coordinator, support mentor training and parent engagement initiatives. Prior to coming to SWSG, Emily worked as a program coordinator for the Youth Task Force at Harvard School of Public Health, Prevention Research Center for Nutrition and Physical Activity. Emily graduated from Simmons College in May 2007 with a concentration in Sociology and Society and Health. During her time as an undergraduate she became the first Student Service Learning Assistant at Simmons College, and received Simmons honored awards for her help developing the program at the college.

Lynne Garfinkel

Lynne builds community support and leads partnership efforts to ensure that SWSG is meeting the needs of girls in the Pittsburgh area. Lynne has served as the President of National Council of Jewish Women-Pittsburgh Section, the Committeewoman for the 14th ward Democratic Committee, and a mayoral appointee to the Pittsburgh City Planning Commission. Lynne received her Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Boston University and her Bachelor of Arts with high honors from Emory University.
Mila Nguyen Yochum

Mila coordinates program delivery with administrators in Pittsburgh elementary schools and universities, in addition to supporting and training Pittsburgh college mentors. Mila has managed the Pittsburgh Literacy AmeriCorps program through the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, is currently a board member of Pittsburgh Cares, and has served as a "big" in the Big Sisters/Big Brothers program. Mila has been honored as a National Young Community Leader Recipient, National Alliance of Vietnamese American Agencies, and 40 Under 40. Mila is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Public Service.
Sarah Goetz

Sarah manages relationships with community sites where Strong Women, Strong Girls programming takes place. As an undergraduate, Sarah spent time volunteering primarily at the Crawford County Mental Health Awareness Program (CHAPS) and the Thurston House (a nonprofit that provides services to new and expecting teen parents). She is currently participating in a year of service program entitled The Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE). Sarah graduated from Allegheny College in May 2008, with a degree in Values, Ethics, and Social Action.
